Harvey Solursh was born in Toronto where he studied business at Ryerson University. Later Mr. Solursh took a correspondents course in Kingston at Queen’s University where he received his Chartered Accountant designation.
Prior to joining QT Inc., Harvey Solursh was a founding partner at Solursh, Feldman & Partners, Chartered Accountants, where he practiced for three decades. It started off as a small company with only one client, but grew to about a 60-person firm. His life changed in the early 90’s when approached by in son-in-law Mark Rivkin and Mark’s brother Andrew Rivkin with a business proposal. They had a revolutionary idea for online gaming and wanted Solursh to come on as the Chief Financial Officer. Harvey acquiesced, and the company Cryptologic Inc., took off. He has been Independent Director of Fluid Music Canada, Inc. and he has also served as a Director of FUN Technologies, Inc.
Currently, Harvey serves as the Chief Financial Officer of QT Inc. and his areas of expertise include financing emerging companies, commercial and venture capital financing, private placements, as well as asset and share purchases and sales. In his free time, Harvey enjoys spending time with his family; he has four children, all of whom are married, and has 10 grandchildren. Harvey often travels with his family, visiting places around the world. Solursh is also an avid sports fan, following the Toronto teams while also enjoying playing golf and tennis, among other sports.
The Solursh family is also very involved in their community, giving back to local and global charities. Most significantly, Harvey donates time, energy, and money to the Canadian Shaare Zedek Hospital Foundation, a group that supports and funds the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel.
